I graduated college in the BuzzFeed era, when listicles were the future and immunity to clickbait had yet to set in. While I've adapted along the way, listicles are the invisible thread that led me to consumer guides.

I started my freelance practice by subscribing to every newsletter and painstakingly replying to even the most outlandish gig requests on Craigslist until I landed my first bylines writing round-ups of sordid celebrity gossip with a two-hour turnaround time from assignment to publication. 

For years, I ghostwrote informational pamphlets, marketing materials, and published blogs for small businesses, including doctors' offices, contractors, and boutique marketing agencies. I took every opportunity afforded to me while cultivating relationships with successful mentors. 

In 2018, my hard work paid off when I landed at Inverse (now a Bustle Digital Group Property, then a budding lifestyle commerce blog). Here, I grew into my writing and editing styles, upskilled into keyword research, learned conversion optimization, and dipped my feet into affiliate management. 

Since then, I've collaborated with multifunctional teams , launched several websites, and liaised with best-in-class publishers who demanded nothing less than top-tier quality aligned with their pages-long style guides. 

For the last several years, I have focused heavily on home, car, auto, renters, and life insurance verticals. I've read dozens of studies and sample contracts, built databases to analyze pricing and compare companies, interviewed insiders, and attended conferences.
